Who am I?
My name is Jan Warren (pronounced Yan), I was born in England and spent 13 years of my life growing up in America, just outside Chicago. In 2014 I moved back to England to further my education at the University of Huddersfield where I'm currently enrolled in Product Design.
Over the past few years I've tried my hardest to lead a very eventful life. I've lived in three continents where I worked, studied, and gained experiences that really showed me the meaning of hard work, and the rewards that come from it! Because of these experiences I'm keen to find work in new places, learn about more different cultures, and broaden my horizons.
My passion for mountain biking has evolved from riding to the shops, to building custom bikes and winning races on them. It's been my goal for quite some time to ride as many different mountain ranges and terrains as possible. So far I've managed to ride the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, the slickrock trails in Sedona, Arizona, the Blue Mountains of Australia, and all over England.
Before graduating high school in 2012, I organized and hosted my first music event in Chicago at a small venue that ended up maxing out capacity with 200 people. The events were small and spread out to start with, but ended with a massive finale in 2014, drawing in over 700 people and being a huge success!
In 2013 I moved to Australia to work and travel, starting in Brisbane. From there I found farm work all over the country and found it to be the best way to see the world. Roseberth Station was my most memorable place of work, where I worked as a cattle musterer. Before the sun had risen, the team of seven people including myself would be riding motorbikes across the desert, following orders over a radio from the boss in his plane. The hours were long, and there was no such thing as time off, but it was an incredible experience that I think made me the worker I am today.

On my placement year of university I worked for the UK's largest kitchen design company, Howdens Joinery. Here I worked as an industrial designer for 14 months in a position contracted to 12 months. I started in an entry level data entry job and quickly evolved into managing projects, testing new products, and working directly with suppliers both in the UK and abroad.
